Martin has provided litigation and advice on major projects including roading, airport planning and municipal water supply, as well as acting in a numerous smaller scale matters.

Martin has been involved in submissions and initial hearings with consent authorities and independent commissioners, as well as undertaking appeals to the Environment Court, and judicial review in relation to non-notification issues. He is well versed in the specialist jurisprudence surrounding the Resource Management Act.

Martin has worked extensively with resource management experts including planners, transport planners and roading engineers, civil aviation experts, hydrogeologists, civil engineers and tikanga Maori experts to name a few. A hallmark of his work is an ability to understand, test and direct the input of such experts.
